Morris G. Domke, Sr
Morris spent most of his life in Ocqueoc or Onaway, except for the last six years and when he lived in Warren, Michigan where he worked in the maintenance department for the city of Warren. Morris retired in 1972 and moved back "home" to the Onaway area. Morris was a long time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Onaway and also was a Boy Scout Leader for several years when living in Warren. Morris enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening and hobby farming. Morris was a veteran of World War Two. He served his country in the South Pacific as an Army cook.
Surviving Morris are his wife, Alisia Domke of Edmondton, Alberta Canada; two daughters, Scharlyn Maness of Gaylord and Deidra (Timothy) Splan of Onaway; two sons, Morris G. (Jody) Domke, II of Oregon, and Darren (Julie) Domke of Onaway; 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister, Marie Allen, of Idaho; three brothers, Herbert (Christina) of Sears, Otis (Shirley) of Missouri, and Benedict (Carrie) Domke of Ocqueoc; and many nieces and nephews.
Morris is preceded in death by his first wife, Alvernin Domke (January 2003); four brothers, Paul, Albert, Marvel, and Bruno Domke; and four sisters, Josephina Boboltz, Anna Schwiesow, Esther Foldoe, and Mayend Krey.
